Is it possible to go from a 8.2 to a 5.9. It is in a capacity yard tractor with an allison transmission. I am not sure if the 5.9 will bolt to that tranny. Any thoughts would be helpful.

http://www.thedieselgarage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=135569 look around on this site. There was a thread at one time that had a 8.2 or 3208 Cat swapped to a 5.9L and members there have advised that swap or an 8.3 cummins.
