As others have said, 230 HP should be easy with any 831 series DB2. Just to clarify 6.5 DB2s came in 3 basic plunger sizes. 6.2 used .029, 6.5's use .031 and the "marine" pumps use .033 plungers. All you have to do is look at the tag and it will tell you the plunger size. It will have DB2-831-XXXX. The 8 after DB2 stands for 8 cylinders, the nest two digits are the plunger size. So a DB2-831-4911 has .031" plungers. Really any 831 DB2 will work on a 6.5 Turbo, the timing is changed model to model but really not enough to make a huge difference. I ran a 5088 pump (which is a 6.5 NA pump) for a while on a 6.5 TD and was very pleased with it. Any pump good rebuilder can alter the timing to 4911 specs if that is what you want. If you want 250-300 HP then I would go for the 033 plungers, but .031 pumps are much easier to find.
