6.5 smokin video

lol sorry guys i should have explained better. this was about a year ago after installing my 80 hp chip and all my other goodies, and it didnt have a turbo leak . i just unhooked the vacuum line to the wastgate actuator so it wouldnt build boost which equals lotz of smoke :p just did it to show what it looks like lol

The 6.5 I used to have smoked almost that much with 15psi of boost. Never did figure out what was wrong with it. Had a Heath WMI system on it turned up way farther that he recommended to keep the egt down. It had a lot of power for a 6.5. (was real close to as fast as my current truck was stock)

thats weird, maybe the timing was bumped way up, thats what i did a week ago and it made it smoke way more, got any track times?

I was thinking about it after I posted and I don't think the smoke was that bad at 15 psi+ where I had it set but it was at the stock (below 10)
I never took it to a track. It was something to do with the injection pump because it did it after I put a used pump on it. I bought the pump from Bobbie Martin for $50. (he had just converted to mechanical pump) Ran it that way for a couple years and was still going the same when I sold the truck.

idk but someone needs to create an upgraded aftermarket IP for us 6.5 guys

There is one. I believe you have to go to WESTERS to get it though as I believe he is the only one with the tuning for it. it is basically a 5068 HD pump head packaged into a 5521 pump. It didn't provide that much more fuel though. Most who want to go big go to the marine DB2 that can be built up to flow enough fuel for 400+ HP.
