I now know why.
Anyone else have any input here? What type of oil and how many quarts should I be buying for a front diff oil change? Thanks.

6.5 humming--vibration noise. Looking for ideas.

I now know why.
Update: Transfer case and front diff were low on oil, and front driveshaft u-joint has some play. Wheel bearings fine.
Took the truck home and noise was still there although it seemed quieter...don't really know. Next step is changing out the u-joint on the front shaft.
