6.2 turbo swap

I just use a simple bulb one the might have cost me a whole 10 bucks. It's not a pretty thing but it's gotten me outta more than on jam.

havent got to work on it in a couple weeks, been busy with school and farmin now that the weather is nice out, hope to get atleast the heads unbolted and the new 6.5 head gaskets in and head studs.
 
Well fellas i know its been a while since ive posted on here. This swap has taken alot longer than i thought given the time that i have to work on it. Well to give a recap from the last year I found out that my 6.2 heads and different injector theads than the 6.5 injectors. When i tried to use the 6.5 heads off the purchased engine we found out they were cracked severly. Found some new castings on the internet so ordered up a set. Got the heads on, injectors in, lines on, intake manifold, and exhause manifolds, cut up the cross over pipe and fabbed it up around the front drive shaft, Air dog wired and plumed, turbo oil line and return hooked, a/c box removed but havent fabbed up a new one to retain the heater yet. Got boost, pyro, and fuel pressure gauges wired up that were out of my cummins. Basically we are all buttoned up ready to start but i have one problem im not nor getting any fuel to the injectors. Bled the air dog up to the pump, then cracked all the injector lines but im not getting anything to the injoectors. Dad said it could be the fuel shutoff selenoid on top of the pump. So i took it off and hooked up a couple wires and the selenoid was moving back and forth so this where i am at right now. What do you guys think is my problem with the pump?
 
when you put the top cover on, did you put it straight down or slide it into place?

is there fuel coming out of the return line on the pump? a short piece of hose and a container to check

OLDBLACKSMOKER is right about needing a good set of batteries for cranking.
 
Ya i got brand new optima red tops so plenty of cranking power. Remember reading on here a while back to slide the cover on from front to back so i made sure i did that. I pry cranked on it for 7 or 8 times for around 30 sec letting it cool alittle inbetween each. Finnally eneded up calling a local diesel shop and they told me that it probably has a stuck plunger in the pump so i took it off thursday night and dropped it off friday to get worked on. Hope to have it back by the end of this next week. Down pipe wise i ended up getting a 4in aluminized system off of SS diesel. Their down pipe is a 3in-4in and there is just enough room between the framerail and passengers mani for it slide right between them. I cut it right where the 4in adapter is welded on and so far ive had to take a hammer to it to flatten out the bottom side where it hits the frame rail so it will slide forward to the turbo. Ive also cut the flange off that clamps to the turbo and ive had to trim about 2in off that end of it because it stood alittle tall. I plan to snap picks of all the modifications ive done once the project is completed.
