That's the answer I've been looking for..thank you!For the front it is simply a matter of putting on a set of 95+ c2500 6 lug rotors. The rear is where it gets a bit trickier. You can swap in a 4x4 rear axle, but it is roughly 3 inches wider than a 2 wheel drive rear axle. The ONLY 6 lug rear axle that is the correct width is the rear axle from a c2500 6 lug truck. It is a 9.5" 14 bolt cs the 8.5" 10 bolt you currently have. If you're doing the 6 lug swap to run late model GM wheels, you will need at least a 1.25" wheel spacer for the front. So many go with a 4x4 1500 rear axle, put 1.5" wheel spacers on the front, and run the late model GM 6 lug wheels.
A 0 offset with a 7" rim iirc is stock on 2 wheel drives. The c2500 rear maintains the same track width as the stock 5 lug 2 wheel drive rear axle. All 4x4 wheels have offset as GM did this to reduce loading on the hub bearings. For the obs 2 wheel drive, they ran the 0 offset so there was enough room to have a center cap in the rim as a positive offset rim has the bearing cap sticking out past the outside of the rim.Ref: a rear end out of a 88-98 2wd 6 lug C2500 - they are set up for a basically 0 offset wheel so If you put a 99-07 silverado1500 wheel on them it ends up looking really bad because the wheel is so sunk into the wheelwell.
I drove a 93 2wd 6 lug 2500 for about 10 years with custom 1.25 spacers on the front and 1.0625 ( 1.25 or 1.5 would have been better on rear) on the rear due to me running 16in 98 Z71 alum wheels on it and later went to 2005 silverado 17s.
