After making a run to Great Lakes Il. this past weekend, I am curious as to how far you have driven in a day. I have gone a little more than 1500 miles, only stopping for fuel.

Yeah that was back in my younger days. I can't stay awake that long anymore. It may have been non interstate but it wasn't at 55 mph either. Drive the Alcan everyone should do it once. You can recuperate here if you'd like.

1000 plus many times. To Colorado Springs. Also done Charlotte many times. I did all the driving on both of those. Did Phoenix to Chicago straight thru with my son but we shared the drive.

I did Glendale AZ to Bozeman MT but I shared the drive.. I did Glendale AZ to Napa Valley CA in about 11 hours.. I was flying...

Me and a buddy drove 2800km in one shot. I did most of the driving because it was my father in laws truck. I guess that would be around 1800 miles. We started the trip after a 10 hr shift at work. Dumb. The Lord was looking out for us that trip.

Evansville, IN to Colorado Springs, CO. Whew that was a long drive especially through Kansas. It was 107* and my AC went south...low pressure switch...

Back in the day I used to be able to drive a good 8 hours without stopping, but anymore I need to stop about every 2-3 hours. I remember when I was 19 I could drive for 24+ hours without stopping except for fuel, food, and a couple of personal relief stops, but now I try to keep it down to about 15 or so. Driving the BURB can test anybody as it don't need to stop but every 750 miles if I drive it conservatively.

I used to have a 99 Suburban with a 44 gallon tank, we could get around 650 miles on a tank, my family hated that thing. ):h

Last long trip for me was back in January. Pryor, OK to back home here in McHenry, IL. 740 miles, 11 hours straight, one stop for fuel at Iowa 80 truckstop. Longest trip I have done was a shared driving duty from home to Daytona Beach for spring break. 1200 miles in 16 hours. Me and a buddy of mine. Switched drivers every tank of fuel.

Tampa to Columbia, SC. 11 hours. Only stopped for fuel, a nature break and lunch.
Any further than that and I'm flying.

Ive done a lot of long runs most with my dad though, getting cows.

The longest Ive done by myself was when i went to St Joseph Missouri to get a spare motor. About 1000 miles round trip. I left here after chores at 10Am and got back at 3 the next morning. 1000 miles through Iowa and Mi is terrible, nothing to look at but you do haul ass. I had a trooper pass me when i was doing 90mph.

With my dad weve made many trips to get cows. He does most of them now. He just got back from Going to Upstate New York for a load of cows. And weve been to Mississippi, alabama (3 times for cows, 6 times for vacation), florida, and arizona twice (30 hour trip).

One of my worst personal drives was probably hauling my truck to the pull in cloverdale last year. It was only a 7 hour drive but I had been up for 25 hours when i started, to top it off we hit some bad traffic and missed the detour around construction in rockford and somehow ended up back in wisconsin.

The longest Ive been awake straight was a 52 hour plowing spree twoi years ago.

And last fall I sat in a tractor for 35 hours straight wheile we pushed to get 250 acres of corn silage done before a little shower came.

Farming is full of interesting trips.

Never again.

Maybe 1500 miles; Houston, TX to San Diego, Ca.. then down the coast to Ensenada, Mexico. 24 hours.

It was before I got my CDL... took 2 gallons of water, a cooler full of snacks and Dr. Pepper, a box of Protien bars, and chipotle peppers to keep alert after all else started to fail (the real, dried kind, not the canned crap). I had just gotten off work (9 hours), and drove straight through.

I had a CB radio, no radar detector, and a real strong hankerin' to see my wife and kids.
