4l80E slipping?

I got a tranny that is acting like a stick with a bad clutch but only after it warms up? i got codes 85(undefined ratio), 86(low ratio0 and 87(high ratio) I'll check tomorrow to see if there are any more. anybody's got a guess on what it could be.:willynilly:I hate electronics in cars!

one more thing. it works fine in 1st and 2nd, 3rd is temperamental and OD is useless

well found some more info. 87 also indicates and solenoid B problem. does anybody have a pic or something of what's what in there?

code 85- pcm/tcm senses wrong gear ratio for what your in.
86- pcm/tcm is set to 1st or 2nd, gear but calculated gear ratio is 3rd
87- pcm/tcm is set to3rd or 4th, calculated gear ratio is 2nd
1 is fluid red, or brown and smells burned?
2 does it idle high, have trouble going in and out of OD?
3 check wire harness on tranny for loose or corrosion
4 there is an issue with wiring in pan deteriating on 4l80e's (possibly)
5 4wd? in correct position
6 test resistance of solenoids on tranny wiring connector as follows w/ ohm meter
1-2 sol pin e&a is 20-40 ohmss, 2-3 sol pin e&b is 20-40 ohms, pressure control sol pin c&d is 3.5-8 ohms, tcc sol pin e&s is 20-40 ohms. refer to pic or can email high res. variance is indicative of bad solenoid or defective wiring.
7 inspect wire harness as far as possable for damage
