I have a 2007 Silverado 2500HD Classic 4x4. It has the 4L80E. I need a tranny and found on marketplace in my town for a decent price but idk if it will work in my truck. I have pics and the only info I have is that it was behind a 454. I THINK it may be out of a 2001 but idk. Any help is very appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Joseph

I believe the two years will be the same. only thing I would be cautious about is the torque converter. some are different depending on what engine you have. I think the 454 uses the same one as the 6.5 diesel for the low RPM and torque. the others may be different.

now, do NOT use the torque converter out of your old trans unless you have it sent off and redone. there can be debris in it that will kill the new transmission. Honestly I would invest into a better torque converter since on these 4l80e's one of the weak points is the lock up clutch disks in the factory converter.
