I've heard that 99+ trannys have all the upgrades ie solid input shaft etc. Is this true? If so is there any way to identify it externally?

I think they have bigger reverse bands and the outer caseing is thicker. From what I seen on transmission parts websites all these heavy duty parts can be used on the 4L80E.
