Just bought an Subaru SVX, which I'll put in another thread, but it's known to have transmission over-heating problems. Besides an after-market tranny cooler, is there anything besides synthetic transmission fluid that I can add to the transmission fluid to help dissipate the heat?

BTW - when I drain my old transmission fluid out, if it doesn't show signs of water, can I just burn it a quart at a time in my duramax (as a cleaner)? Or with this old of a car, would it be best to throw it in with my oil recycle?
