Are the adapter plates on the cummins universal? My step van has a ford 4 speed and I'm wondering if a nv4500 would bolt up to it

I do not believe so

have you considered a ZF5 or a ZF6 with the ford pattern instead?

I feel that it would be cheaper to go to cummins, as I doubt anyone would part with the chevy one from a 4bt frito lay van.

are you planning a 4bt swap, or do you use the van for work?

I already have the van with the cummins (see sig). I was thinking of a nv 4500 for the low 1st and the overdrive.

On the two adapters I have they are GM specific. It has two bolt patterns one for Chevy and one for Pontiac, Buick, Olds.....
So its posible yours could have more than one bolt pattern also??
