I acquired 2 6.5L engines. First one is 12555506 and date code is F130. But it doesn't have 506 stamped in the valley like the other one. So I'm thinking June 13, 2000? This one the cam bolt was loose and the injection pump gear was hanging there. So I pulled the timing chain off and the cam and crank won't turn. Thought it was odd both would seize, but neither turn at all. Haven't dropped the pan yet.

The other one is a 12555506 also and date code is E148. So May 14, 1998? Haven't looked at this one at all except for these numbers. This one has 506 in the valley. Is the other one maybe a China block? Or did GM maybe have some without the 506 in the valley for some reason?
