I have 1997 k1500 4wd I only drive to get lumber and big items. The last couple years the speed odometer has be reading super fast and been getting worse with time. Could it be the Vehicle speed sensor or something else? Picture shows it maxed out and was just passing big rigs. Most cars was still passing me. Know little about cars, but have messed with anything like this before. Usually work on jet engines.

Your jet engine background is rubbing off on the truck- it wants to go faster!

The speed sensor is magnetic (think like a magnetic drain plug). Remove it and clean it first with just a clean rag.
Cool good to know. I will try it and see.
