4K? That's not bad. Buy one, sell the transfer case for $750-1K, the transmission for $1.5K and you now have yourself a complete drop-in GEP for $1,500-1,750. Not bad at all.
 
Glad you got it fixed. Glad the ss ripoffs didn't put any holes in the pistons. One more person to spread the word about ss junk. Hopefully one day that outfit will go out of business.
 
That's good you found the problem. I read your post about adding the ATF and doing the oil change later. You didn't add it to the crank case did you?
