1994 GMC 3500 hd 6.5 turbo diesel

I would love to do it permanently, but I have to get it running first. Still same problem?After ten fifteen minutes of driving, I guess.Once it's fully warmed up, it shuts down for about twenty minutes. I have three p m d's that I switched still have that problem. I did put a tester in the connection green wire. After I unplugged the pmd and my voltmeter kept jumping, it would show 1.7 to 2.88. And just keep back-and-forth, I couldn't get a regular 1.2 V. I'm afraid the connection is in the harness that comes from the main cluster
