Please help,
This is the first time I am trying to change front brake pads on a 1994 chevy sub 4x4 K1500 auto,
I ordered pads part no SMD369 using the VIN number but they don't fit as well as the old ones (see att pic)
1. the two prongs on the inner pad are slightly wider for the caliper - they don't seem to go in as far as the old ones
2. the actual pads on the new are slightly narrower than the old ones

I also spoke to the suppliers and they confirmed that the part number is the one for the vehicle,

Any thoughts please - thank you

If yours has hydro-boost brakes (which it probably does), the GM catalog lists the same pads for your truck as a 2500 with the 8600 lb GVWR. I assume you've been sent the lighter duty pads.

You need the 370 pads for a 8 lug BURB, and the 369's for 5 and 6 lug BURBS. Not all aftermarket pads fit that well has been my findings though as many will rattle and make noise.
