howdy yall, iv got a 1994 chevy 3500 4d 454 engine with a issue but also introducing myself. so my 94 has a problem where the batt gauge reads low, new alt, cleaned grownds and positive cables and the wires to the connectors that go to the batt last weekend. i was wondering if there was a sensor of some sort that tells the guage that to say, thanks in advance

Take and run a 4 gauge wire from the battery directly to the junction block on the firewall. Currently the power goes down to the starter and then up to the junction block. And it's a small wire. Doing this made my 94 read right.

Already got answers for issue- i just say make sure to use a multi meter and read the output at the battery to compare.
Just because alternator and such is new- doesn’t meant the whole system is working.
