1988 SBC output?

How much hp/tq did the 1988 350 SBC come with stock? How much would an exhaust, intake, and .055 over get it?

I had an 89 4x4 2500 sub that had an "NA4" sb. basically was a four bolt main. That mean monster was rated at 190 hp and 300 ft lbs. I know thats pathetic. Anything will help get more power. The biggest thing they need is a cam. But the only problem with that is the computer is very basic in those years. It will not like the extra cam. The bore job isn't going to add anything you will notice. You are very limited as to what the computer will let you do. You will have to get a custom chip burned for it. They run those engines on the very ragged edge of "lean". I read an artical years back where they built a 383 for a similar truck. It would not even run. They had a chip burned for it, thet changed like 180 parameters. It is just a real pain to get good power with what they give you. If you pulled all the TBI stuff off, and went with old school stuff 300hp would be easy.

I believe mine was 210 hp straight from the factory!

I was thinking about 190-220, but wasn't sure. Thanks. The only thing I could find anywhere was 212, for that era, so I wasn't sure.

It doesn't take much to put a little life in those 350 TBI motors, I had 6o over and a mean cam dual exhaust and some tuning custom chip and some head work, but I pushed the stock tbi to the limit made about 400 at the flywheel, in my 87, the blue one in my album. Loved to be up in revs but once it git enough food it would haul the mail. It had 190hp and 300tq factory.
