I have a 89 gasser K1500 on 35s, I keep eating up the stock 10 bolts. I can get a good deal on a 14 bolt semi floater, how long do you think that would hold on?

Do it, no real negatives to it. Behind a 350 it would hold up pretty well even with the 35's. You'll probably have to weld the mounts and such from your 10 bolt to it, but the strength difference would be worth it.

I am guessing you dont want to change your lug pattern so this is why you are looking into the semi-floater? The semi-floater will hold up fine to 35's, you could probably bump up to 38's without any worry but it will be the front diff and c/v's that will crap out first now.

Yeah the 10 bolts are junk, go for the 14. I went through 2 rear ends in my '96 Z-71 with a 10 bolt. It's not cheap.
