hi guys .i have a 06 dodge cummins .i got a problem with the tack.it only works at upper rpm.running 60mph its on 0 if i kick down on it it goes up to about 4500rpm if i drop it down to drive it will do the same thing thin it will go back to o .i called the dealer an asked if it was the cam or the crank sensor they did not know witch is typical.any ideas thanks

That sounds like the crank sensor.

The cam sensor has nothing to do with the tach.

BUT, the cam and crank sensor are the same part number, so you could try swapping them......the problem is, if the crank sensor is bad and you swap it to the cam, the truck won't run or it'll run like crap.
