03 dodge door locks

Ok my dad just bought an 03 2500 auto with a cummins...Now my 03 will lock the doors automatically at about 15mph....His WILL not lock the doors...You have to manually lock them...I know this thing has had trans work done so can it be related to that???any help is appreciated!! thanks!

I'd see what the owners manual has to say about programming them. I agree that the trans work may have something to do with it.

I'd be happy they didn't automatically lock. I don't care much for that safety feature on vehicles

Heck, the newest ones give you only 2 choices... 1) Lock when you take it out of park and 2) Lock when you hit 3-8 mph.

ah I just wondered if anyone had any thoughts right off hand...It dont hurt that they dont lock..Ive skimmed the book but aint seen nothin on it(I saw how to program the remote to unlock all 4 doors in one shot) but didnt look to hard yet...I might go do that!! Thanks!!
