Failed flash pass through code $0101

Functionally, if you are doing a cal flash, there is no difference. Consider yourself lucky though. If you decide to tempt fate again, one thing to do is be sure that the battery bus is over 12V while you are flashing. If you have accessories, original or aftermarket that turn on when...

Low fuel light - ran out of fuel.

Sender voltage. Your new one comes from a batch that was not calibrated the same. Your tuning is based of the original production run. Anyone with EFI can adjust it for you if you want.

    TPS, normal to drift down?

It is worth noting here, typical LLY TPS scaling is poor from the factory. The first 10% of throttle movement results in 30% of the TPS scale. It is especially non-linear in the area we rely on for smoothness. Hence the LLY has earned a reputation as a pothole scizophrenic. It can be...

    TPS, normal to drift down?

no, not normal. And if you have floor mats, that may be your reset problem (as well as high idle set). It is common not see 100% voltage with mats under the pedal. Your truck has demonstrated non-standard behavior (twitchy pedal) from the beginning. When I come up there, we should do a...

I must have missed the part where getting stranded is fun.

LBZ Died on Highway onramp. got it started, but undriveable

Do you realluy think you are saving $ by not getting a $75 written diagnosis from a trained professional? 3 weeks and countless hours of your time. Unless you are unemployed, this is silly. Your issue could very well be electrical.

    I just bought an LLY...

The poor hardware integration of the new VGT on top of a hot air intake is what forced loaded LLY's into submission over the 1st gen dmax. Google "thermal feedback". The LB7 has a wastegate and an efficient turbine, with much less compressor heat output. If wanting to validate this...

    I just bought an LLY...

If you are towing, do not use a power tuner until you remedy the intake/induction tract (junk). You stand to blow a head gasket, probably somewhere around 6800 ft elevation, far from home. "Induction Overhaul" should be first on your list, followed by a smart intake that dampens IAT rise when...

    Cruise control surges 3 MPH.

Grady, what year truck is it?
  12. K

    Cruise control surges 3 MPH.

You will just have to find someone who has been able to isolate the cause, specifically the relationship between pedal (including operator feedback), fuel pressure and pulse. 90% of all commercial and custom tuning is based on stock fuel pressure and pulse tables, near the problem areas...

    Cruise control surges 3 MPH.

It will disappear with a custom tune that refines the fuel pressure tables. Also, the LLY suffers from operator induced pedal feedback. When you replace the spring with a heavier one, it will feel more refined.

    EGR?

Nobody here can help you, unless you post the exact code(s). It's not your ECM, and they know well it isn't. If you want to make some money, videotape yourself writing your name on the ECM, then let the dealer "fix" it. When you get it back, record the conversation with the service writer...

    Power before 2600/2800 RPM's

RPM is analogous to HP. If you want to avoid beating up your truck, then rpm shouldn't scare you, it is your friend. Worry about someone claiming high power at low rpm. That is where trucks blow up. Hope this helps.

anybodys lmm get a ck eng light and clean exhaust filter all the time?

The problem is with early LMM's, poor regeneration effectiveness, especially during low throttle/idle frequency. The fix is a new GM flash, which addresses several tuned factors that restores the correct combination of oxygen and EGT heat during regeneration.

    Solution for idle surge

I would not say that. I identified idle surge/lope in LLY 4 years ago. It is addressed with tuning, specifically pulse refinement. There is also low speed lope, which is addressed with pressure refinement. This was the TSB GM launched under warranty, but it was not very effective. They...

    forced regen

I would venture a guess that someone has messed up the tuning. You are describing what an LMM acts like when post-injection is disabled. EGT should never reduce below 1100 during the regen. If it does, soot reduction crawls to a stop. The post injection is one of 3 key ingredients to regen...

I figured out why the IAT has been high

What are you guys are referring to? If using EFILive, then there is AAT and IAT with bosch. AAT is monitored at the MAF location. Going on old memories.

I figured out why the IAT has been high

There are 2 IAT sensors. The reading in the plenum should be well dampened. The reading at the box will be all over the place with stop-go conditions.
