    Bought my 1st fiver....

glad to be able to help .... I work in RV Sales and have seen too many 5ers damaged by adapting their pin box to a goose neck .... if you think about the goose neck trailers you have seen you many recall how heavy their framework is .... most 5ers don't have anywhere near that level of structure...

    Bought my 1st fiver....

if you 5er came from the factor with a 5th wheel setup, don't switch it to a goose neck unless you double check with the factory to see if its frame can handle the stress .... there are considerable differences in the forces at work between the two types of hitches Jim

Can we talk Electric Brake controllers?

as already noted, the P3 is a good controller .... the TruControl is the easiest/quickest unit of its type that I have found to fine tune when moving from towing one camper to another .... working at a camper dealership I may well tow multiple campers of various sizes during a single day so that...

Can we talk Electric Brake controllers?

Mack.. as others have noted, the Prodigy units are good with their new P3 model being even better .... the best electrical unit I know if is the Hensley TruControl .... note: Hensley has 2 levels of the TruControl ... their lower priced unit is in the same category as the Prodigy .... their...

Weight limit on the 2500HD Hitch

we had only had our former '02 Chevy 3500 for a couple of years when we had to replace the OEM receiver .... it didn't have any cracks but the hole that the hitch pin passes through had become elongated into much the shape of an old fashion football .... replaced it with a Reese Class V and...

we had a 98 gallon Transfer Flow in bed tank mounted on our '02 Chevy 3500 ... really found it to be an excellent mod .... filling it and our OEM tank to the top gave us a 140 gallon capacity .... with NC being a very high gas tax state, we made it a point to fill every time we out of state ...
