Thats kind of what i was wondering. I may be missing a step here. When i used a tech 1 a few years ago to time my 95, i had a book. I thought it was simple. I wish i had a book for the tech2.

So even if the actual doesnt stay at 3.5 and i get the TDCO to -1.5 or so(while in timeset) then its fine? i can get the 3.5 while in timeset but the TDCO is off. Am i doing something wrong? Am i missing a step? My procedure went like this............... Turn pump and tighten the nuts...

Well i thought i had it......... i got 3.5ish, when in timeset, but the tdco doesnt seem to change. It made one drastic change(from +1.41 to -2.46) Now i cant get it to go up to -1.5. Which is where i want it. Ive moved the pump alot without (about 15 times in small increments)and it wont...

What ECT should it be reading it the sensors are fine? It says.... engine start temp is at 186 and temperature went up to 188 and i saw 189 once at idle.

I dont know where the learn function is on the scanner. So i did the KO/KO procedure.

I hate to say it but that is the case. I went to get a gauge with the wifes van. Got back and hooked it up. Cold it had 20 on mechanical gauge and 38 on dash gauge. I took it for a drive and mechanical gauge went to 0-5 and dash gauge went to about 25psi. Within 2 miles. Then things started...
