Has anyone attempted to make rear traction bars for a 88-92 chevy?i think it would be pretty easy but i just wanted some input by people that have done it.I was think about using 1"gas pipe and some kind of hoops.i was thinkin about puttin them of the front to,so if anyone has any pics or info...

hay there just wanted to say hi im a new member here i have some pic of the truck my Nephew and i are going to be workin on to get it ready for next year..im hoping we can get a little of the work done so we can take it to the truck pulls here close to us at the fair at the end of the month...

I hope u all had a good weekend i know i did ..went to 2 truck pulls on saterday 45 min from where i live that one started at 11 am stayed for 6 hr then went home .then went to one more 1/2 hr from where i live ..long day it was and very hott ...but it was a good time..and next truck pull is in...
but what i do know about the truck is a Chevy it has a 92 body sits on a 88 frame ..and it has a rebilt 350 mortor....i know it sits High in the rear ..but like i said ill get some pic on here .ty for the help all
BudTX ty for replying to my post ...it does not have traction bars yet ..im picking up the truck next week ..ill put some pic up on here so you all can see what i have to work with to get it ready im hope'in to pull it once or twice yet this year ....im hope'in to get some pointers this weekend...

ok im new to all this the truck im getting to pull is a 92 chevy 3/4 ton 4 speed man...so what u r saying is even with a Manual trans start out in 3ed and have the 4 wheel drive in 4 low ..what RPM should u have it at befor u begen to pull the sled?
ok here we go ....im getting a truck here next week its a 92 chevy 3/4 ton wirh a rebilt 350 . ok shape .ill be putting it in truck pulls next year ....what i need to know is what gear i start out in and what the 4 wheel drive needs to be in ..4 hight ..or .4 low ....iv been to alot of truck...
