How many miles are on your origional brakes?

Mackin, You mentioned a blown axel seal when you serviced your brakes. It looks like my rear passenger seal is leaking a little as well. Maybe that's all it is and I just need to replace the seal as it appears to be getting on the rotor.....

How many miles are on your origional brakes?

I have about 50K on mine. Recently, though, it started to feel like there was something under my brake pedal. The pedal travel is still the same, but I used to be able to apply the brakes with one toe and the thing would stop on a dime, but now its getting scary if I'm pulling something. I'll...

    Trailer Sway

Just following back with everyone on this issue, I talked with the marine shop that sold me the boat/trailer and the service guy there asked me if the trailer was a tandem axle (it is) and he said to check the "shackle" that the two leaf springs tie in to between the wheels. He said that it's...

    Trailer Sway

RayMich, Thanks for all the suggestions! I also thought about the boat shifting on the trailer, but it seems that it is in the exact same place as when I dropped the boat off in storage. All of the fluid levels are identical to when it was dropped off. I tried a 4 inch drop hitch instead...

    Trailer Sway

That was my thought exactly. I put 80 lbs in and it is still swaying. This is driving me nuts because when I stored it last year everything was perfect. I'm starting to think that these tires are too soft (compound).

Has anyone heard that Terra Grapplers are not good for towing?!?
  7. S

    Trailer Sway

No, I don't. It towed perfectly last summer without one.

    Trailer Sway

I have a 22' pontoon that I pulled all last year and it was completely stable. I had stock tires on at the time. During the winter I put on 265/75 Nitto Terra Grapplers and I can't get this boat to stop wagging. I even got a lower drop hitch thinking that maybe I wasn't level anymore since...

Are my shocks bad or what?

Nick, Sorry for the delay here. When I first went to the site, I clicked on "Bilstein" and it took me to the page that had all of your shocks listed individually and I didn't see the 4-pack I was looking for at that time, so I thought I would have to put my own front and rear shocks...

Are my shocks bad or what?

Nick, I didn't see that particular section on my first time through the site. The link you sent me is crystal clear. I didn't see the 4-pack option for 0-1.5" originally, so I was confused about putting together the appropriate front and rear shocks, but with the 4-pack it should be fine...

Are my shocks bad or what?

Nick, Which item #'s do you suggest for front and back. I don't have any type of lift currently, but I'm thinking about possibly cranking the t-bars just enough to level the truck. I looked on your website and I want to make sure I'm looking at the right shocks. Thanks. Dave

Are my shocks bad or what?

Sounds good. That's what I was hoping to here! Thanks! Dave

Are my shocks bad or what?

After going over bumps of any kind, there is a shudder in the truck like it's still shaking off the bump it just rolled over. The sensation is pretty even back to front, so that's why I'm thinking shocks and not thinking steering components. I have just under 50K on my stock shocks and I've...

    Oil Wars

I'm a Schaeffers fan. I like the moly in the oil. I think it is beneficial. Plus my motor sounds quieter with it vs Rotella T (which I converted from). Plus, I can get Schaeffer oil fairly easily too, so that helps.

    Duramax LBZ Predator Vs. PPE

Hello Gentlemen, Another DP convert here. Since all the knowledge came here to this forum, it only made sense to follow! I've been running the Predator on the 85hp setting for 6 months and it kept my mileage the same through winter fuel months. Normally I would see a drop of several MPG...
