just get an ali ark for your truck. A lot of semi's use them. After you see a semi hit a moose, and when it gets back to the yard, they hook a chain up to it and another semi and pull it straight. They are aluminum, google it.
wow 635
That's quite the career. Have you ever thought about going through and teaching new drivers? Sounds like your the kinda guy who should actually be doing that with the logging roads and highway and city experience. I'm sure there isn't much you haven't seen.
IIRC cummins and dodge have an indefinite contact to supply engines, which has been questioned here and there because of Ford being a majority shareholder in Cummins. Or maybe I'm out to lunch on that.
FWIW Iveco engines have popped up in a lot farm equipment in the last couple years, mostly...
Here is some numbers for the winter/summer fuel. Yes I know its CDN, but yours will be similar.
Click on diesel tab, specifically the regular (its from the pipeline aka generic fuel), not the EP3000.

This is likely in the wrong place, but I wasn't sure where to put it. I'm sure someone will yell at me for it.
Anyway I found some interesting data on winter/summer fuel. There is gas info there too.

Luckily I get EP3000 delivered at the farm, even...
Will, no one has ever built a DI 6.5, or at least to my knowledge. So do it, you know you want to!
Also FWIW Ford switched their 7.3 IDI to DI. There are more differences than just the heads, but if Ford can do it...
Check all plug wires. After being replaced, or replacing plugs, they tend to pop off for the first while. Mine did for about 6 months, and has been fine since.
Ya, it does drive you nuts! That's the only problem I have found yet and I have 235,000 kms.
I love my 6.0, they are great engines that don't get much respect.
Max
I took the cheap mans method to my 6.0 performance. I bought a hypertech programmer cheap off ebay, opened up the stock airbox, and then just straight tune up, new plugs, wires cleaned TB and intake, etc etc. It is a night and day difference. I live in the city and farm on the weekends...
The 6.0 is a great engine. From the factory it is greatly detuned, and custom tune is the best way to wake them up. I get great highway mileage with mine, not as great towing, but it gets the job done.
Hey guys
I figured I'd come see what is going on over here. Been meaning to check it out for a while, it's just been a long year, and the weather sucked for farming, so that didn't help.
Some of you will know me from DP, I just get sick of the threads where no one ever gets their problem...
