I have run a straight pipe for about 4 years now. It does sound pretty good, but the drone in the cab is annoying if you go above 65.
I just bought the corsa system to replace the straight pipe. I drive 150 miles round trip at about 75 mph every day to work...It just got to be too annoying...
Fellas,
I just bought a corsa cat back system for my 02 for $350 + $85 Shipping from ebay member vipdist. I think he has 2 more of the same systems if anyone is interested. My item # is 180287566139. There is another guy selling the downpipe for the kit for $225 + $5 shipping. Item #...
Well, I made it to Salt Lake City. One more day of driving should get it.
I got really crappy mileage through Wyoming...8.9:nonod: Lots of grades and lots of wind through there. I don't suspect it will be much better the rest of the way.
Couple of things I forgot above. My tire...
So far, I have made it to Boonville, MO from Atlanta on my way to Sacramento.
I was playing with the Juice between fuelings to see what the best mileage I can get is. First, I had it set on level 2 with the low boost fueling set at 5. My mileage was 12.9. Next tank, I set it to level 2...
Here a couple of shots. You can see from the picture, my frame on the trailer does not stick out very much, and this hitch works great for the short nose. The underneath picture is of what I did on the bumper I built for the stock receiver....will be watching this closely until I can get a new...
Ozzie,
Greatly appreciate the advice. I just came back from the RV Dealer with the 14K equalizer hitch. Man, what a great difference. Everything is 10X more stable and planted to the road. Pricey unit compared to some, but well worth it. I actually had to use the equalizer regardless...
I got my 60gig Video Ipod on ebay for $300, but it came with 12,000 songs of the kind of music I listen to. If you watch ebay, you will come across one like that. If you find one loaded, try to buy it soon because ebay will pull the auction once they see it has music on it for copyright stuff...
Ozzie hit it right on the head. 24" VNose + Loaded = Sow:crazy:
I tried to distribute the load as much as possible with the heaviest stuff over the axles. It pulls OK, but
I ready to drop the coin on an EQ hitch. Couple of questions: The V nose does not have much trailer frame between...
ATV Scene did a review on the unit here: http://www.atvscene.com/machines/honda/700xx_081.html
Pretty neat machine, but I ended up going with a Raptor 700 after much research.
Mechanically, it will work just fine...but if you are using galvanized pipe, it will look like crap at the welds unless you send out the pieces to get galvanized again...unless you paint them black or something.
6" stainless pipe or tube would be the best material to do what you want to do...
Is that kinda like load levelers for pulling tag a long RV's? It will definately be a sow when loaded...not looking forward to the fuel bill for 2500 miles:queasy:
Well, after debating it for a few months, I finally snapped and picked up a new Raptor 700.:biggrin5:
Since I picked it up last week, I probably have close to ten hours on it. This is a very impressive machine. Very comfortable for a big guy (6'0" 290#). The suspension is outstanding...
I just purchased a 24' enclosed v nose. It weighs 3740# and has 2 5200# torsion axles. I am towing it from Georgia to California in a couple weeks as I am moving for work. I plan on taking as much of my stuff as possible. I have many tools, gangboxes, quads, etc, so the GVW could be quite...
