Good thought- I have the Current PMD remote mounted behind front grill on a long harness. This truck is turning my hair grayer! Need to check for continuity. I can’t seem to let it go, but it’s killing me slowly....
Going from memory; Glow was probably lit a little longer- unlike my memory.
Truck is at shop, so I can’t verify.
GP’s are cheapo’s -threw them in while it was still running. Tested them individually and they all worked.
PMD was functional, but was a generic version.

I keep an extra in truck. I have had the pmd mounted behind the grill. I thought the same thing you said initially. Is there a way to test the PMD for continuity?

According to mechanic, fuel is getting to pump, but not beyond.
I had a WVO system put on around 10 years ago, but have not used it for at least 7. Supply and straining oil made it not worth the effort. Had a toggle switch to go from D2 to wvo.
I have 3 VW diesels, but not quite as familiar...
