    Random Firewall Relay?

I think its a relay for the front differential actuator. Everything I've read makes me think thats what it is. But not positive. I'll try to chase wires tonight.

    Random Firewall Relay?

Hey guys. I'm wondering what this random relay is on my firewall? Appears to be tied in with the transmission/transfer case wiring? I know this is the 6.5 engine forum, but none of the gas trucks I saw at the junkyard had this single relay. Anybody know what this relay is and does? Thanks!

Adventure Vehicles NW vs Autoworld Motor Mounts

Yup, pretty much. A lot of folks have cummins swapped the gmt400 chassis. I have yet to see someone 6.7 swap one. I have yet to really see even a lot of p pump 6.7's. And third, it's rare besides pulling trucks to see p pump 6.7 compounds. All that in a chevy? Yeah, havent seen it. Wanting to...

Adventure Vehicles NW vs Autoworld Motor Mounts

Yup! The earlier 24v heads will work on a common rail block. However, they don't flow as well as the newer 24v heads, which is one of the reasons I'm trying to get this adapter modified & made. Also, I believe some steam ports need to be drilled or blocked off to run the older 24v heads on the...

Adventure Vehicles NW vs Autoworld Motor Mounts

I've been trying to work with Power Driven Diesel & getting a newly designed common rail p pump timing cover made. The one offered by scheid works, however, it only works with the early vp44 24v heads due to the casting design in the intake shelf. In order for the p pump to "smoothly" fit on a...

Adventure Vehicles NW vs Autoworld Motor Mounts

Haha oh I may never be happy with it. I'm in the process of building a p pump 6.7. I've also ordered a standalone allison 6 speed controller from CAC in Florida. Goodbye 4l80e!

Adventure Vehicles NW vs Autoworld Motor Mounts

Ok, so update ya'll. I purchased the original poster's used SSOR mounts. (Sorry, I cant remember his username rn). Anyways, I purchased his set for a little cheaper than new & I was able to get the SSOR mounts to work by using both "driver side" aka "long" mounts. So now I have two "passenger...

Adventure Vehicles NW vs Autoworld Motor Mounts

In my case, my diagonals were both broken already. I only had to cut them off the side frame rails. The front frame crossmember was already broken.

Agreed. However, I did manage to get them to work despite the said issues. I'm going to contact Paul as I have some prior experience working with him & maybe I can get this resolved for us. If not us, hopefully for future customers.

Adventure Vehicles NW vs Autoworld Motor Mounts

Yes, he is still in business. I personally had problems with the 1st gen mounts. Due to the offset nature of the studs, the engine was allowed to rotate causing the oil pan to contact the lift kit axle drop crossmember. I didnt get pics before I swapped them out for the SSOR mounts, but you can...

    Allison 2000 (July '01 Build) 4x4 conversion

Not to hijack, but I am in a very similar situation. I have an allison 1000 5 speed 4x4 trans & an allison 2000 (with park pawl) 6 speed 2wd. I just want a 6 speed 4x4 ally. Will I be able to just hijack the output shaft & tailshaft of the 4x4 trans? Not sure if it will work or not due to it...

Adventure Vehicles NW vs Autoworld Motor Mounts

Shoot, if anyone is interested, I still have my AVNW mounts for sale. With rubber insulators. Unfortunately, I am still deployed & not sure when I'll be back. But when I do get back, I'll make sure to post them up.

    6 Speed Standalone

I've found a few more. So for others looking, here's a list of 6 speed standalone controllers I've found readily available for purchase. These are listed in order of the most expensive to the least expensive. Caconversions.com $$$ Transmissiontuner.com $$ Destroked.com $ The other option is to...

Adventure Vehicles NW vs Autoworld Motor Mounts

Hey guys. I apologize for my absence. I'm currently deployed. Ok, so let me solve some things: 1) Jonesy's mounts aren't awful, however I had an issue with my oil pan contacting one of my lift kit braces due to the motor mount walking around. I also wanted the SSOR mounts from the beginning...

Adventure Vehicles NW vs Autoworld Motor Mounts

Nice! Glad Paul was able to help you out! Paul has offered me advice throughout the years & been extremely helpful. Being that hes done a few of these, it makes sense. I would love to purchase his upper compressor mount as it utilizes medium duty alt & compressor. I'm all for overkill!

Adventure Vehicles NW vs Autoworld Motor Mounts

I'm not an engineer, so take what I say with a grain of salt. These mounts are essentially leaf spring bushings. I don't know about you guys, but the only time I've ever changed leaf spring bushings was when I did my lift kit since they weren't included. The SSOR design mimics the 94 & up...

    1996 6.5 to 5.9 12V Cummins Conversion Videos & Updates

Fellow, Mine is very similar. However, I need to redo mine. I had to extend the upper radiator hose as the engine is not centered. So I think I'm going to purchase another core support from a junkyard & really make it nice before swapping it out. The other issue though is the intercooler has to...

    1996 6.5 to 5.9 12V Cummins Conversion Videos & Updates

My truck has the 3.5" downpipe to a 4" system. Theres a 4" muffler but it's a pass through type, so it doesn't do too much. Can't really hear it too much cuz the truck is so long lol. And in case anybody is curious, no. I will not be putting exhaust stacks on the truck.
