    Best Front CV Driveaxles

Found one article. Not the install one, but I intend to do those TufShafts etc. Already have all the steering upgrades. https://www.dieselworldmag.com/diesel-technology/steer-straight/

    Best Front CV Driveaxles

Man, I haven't been on here in awhile. I did a quick search with no luck. Anyone out there have an opinion on a really strong front driveaxle replacement? I keep snapping mine in high RPM/torque situations. I did it again yesterday trying to pull my dad's dead backhoe back to the shop. Now...

No Power steering or brakes - PS Tank overflowing

I forgot to follow up. Sorry all. I installed my new PSC 2 Friday's ago. Man what a difference!! Why did I live with that old one for so long? I gotta say, the first rebuild I put in there over a year ago must have been weak or worn out or something. It got me by for almost a year, but I...

No Power steering or brakes - PS Tank overflowing

Yeah, I was on that route myself until the guy at PSC convinced theirs was even better. After reading all this here, it's just gotta be the fact the reman pumps are junk. My only saving grace is the last 2 fell under NAPA's 1 year warranty, so really I got like 7 years out of the OEM one, and...

No Power steering or brakes - PS Tank overflowing

Just got off the phone with PSC. They now recommend the SP1404 instead of the Borgeson. The Borgeson is a reman also (albeit better), and theirs (PSC's) is new. Whopping $220 but I don't care. I already ordered one and will send the ACDelco back to GMPartsDirect.com when it comes in. FYI...

No Power steering or brakes - PS Tank overflowing

H Heard ya loud and clear sir. On it! I recall you said some of the same things last year farther up this thread. Thanks again for the input sir. I'm gonna actually flush and clean existing BEFORE I put in a new one so as to accomplish some of that. Get the old gunk out and see if some...

No Power steering or brakes - PS Tank overflowing

Ditto! And thanks to you sir. You did say same pressure and increased flow, didn't you? I got so excited to hear someone out there makes SOMETHING that I read your original message too fast. I'm calling them manana. Now go celebrate with the Mrs.;)

No Power steering or brakes - PS Tank overflowing

Thanks Will! And, yes, if there's a vendor here with something beefier than stock, let me know ASAP. I already ordered a stock ACDelco pump off GMPartsDirect (where I tend to get factory parts when all else fails) figuring it's GOTTA be better than these NAPA reman's. I can always send it...

No Power steering or brakes - PS Tank overflowing

SON OF A!!!!! Again! Sorry for the bump on this old thread, but fishing for a little advice. As you can read, I replaced my pump a year ago. The thing just took a dump on me again about 2 weeks ago. Called up NAPA and they verified I bought it on Valentine's Day last year, and I could get a...

No Power steering or brakes - PS Tank overflowing

Well, I did the flush procedure last weekend. Ran 1.5 gallons through the system before it started looking good. Guess it needed it anyway like I was thinking. Unfortunately, it didn't fix the overall problem. I was just about to pull the trigger on the hydro boost unit when a mechanic...

No Power steering or brakes - PS Tank overflowing

Thank you sir. Found it and it sounds really good. This should flush the steering lines as well as the hydro boost system that way. Not sure if I have a cooler until I look. BTW, I forgot to mention I recently replaced my steering gearbox. Wife drove it that time. I need to stop letting...

No Power steering or brakes - PS Tank overflowing

Eerily similar situation here. I'm following this closely. I loaned my truck to a friend for a couple days of hard off-road use (he's a trapper and his vehicle took a stick through the radiator) and this is what I got back. No loss of fluid. No overflowing fluid like Mike had. No whining at...

4" or less lift kits - Help (NorCalNick)

Sorry I took so long to get back. I rarely log in anymore (probably cause I haven't got anything new to brag about), but I got your message via e-mail. Check out this thread I started sometime AFTER I did this whole lift and steering parts upgrade. It may help you decide some things...

Cognito HD tie rods ever go bad???

Come to think of it, the roughest I am on the truck is always at really slow speeds. Yeah, I have to gun it to get through mud or jerk downed trees out of the way or something, but I don't know if I'm ever in danger of bending tie rods, like you fellers who race a lot. Are those sleeves even a...

Cognito HD tie rods ever go bad???

Yeah, I also have the pitman and idler stuff from Cognito. That's what I meant by all the bells and whistles. Just don't get it. Maybe I'm rougher than I think I am out there. No racing though. I read a little about all this tie rod sleeve stuff whilst searching this topic before I...

Cognito HD tie rods ever go bad???

Mine must be closer to 30K on them. Don't know if I "abuse" them or not. I do maintain them, though. The truck stays on the highway or easy dirt roads primarily. When I do "off road" it's usually while out hunting or pulling friends out of mud or something. I'm usually not out "giving it...

    Getting 35s under your 4" kit(s)

Got the Bushwacker fender flares installed and the new 35's on the truck. So far, I've only heard one instance of a little rubbing, but that was against my loose corner piece of a POS plastic bumper chevy puts on there and at full turn/full compression (ie...no rubbing in the rear of the fender...

Cognito HD tie rods ever go bad???

Anyone ever had any issues with these going out fast? I had them installed a couple years ago along with the lift and all the extra Cognito bells and whistles. Just bought a new set of larger tires after installing my fender flares and decided an alignment would be a good idea since my last...

    Getting 35s under your 4" kit(s)

Yup...was able to access it. Thanks a ton. That looks basically like what a Bushwacker cut out fender flare install will do. I think I'll try that and see. May be a few weeks, but I'll try and post how it went afterwards.

    Getting 35s under your 4" kit(s)

Yeah...that link would be most helpful. I totally figured you would say there's no good easy way to keep the truck at 4" and squeeze 35s under it. Glad I asked!
