    Help a Brother Out #2

It was mentioned that we might should start another thread for Stoney. I agree so that it doesn’t get to confusing being mixed in with the other post in that thread. @btfarm is there a way y’all could have a section titled “Help a Brother Out” and then someone can start threads under that...

    Helping a brother out

As many of y’all know @Stoney has had some problems with his truck. He is having brake issues and maybe a few other issues that we might can help him with financially or somebody might want to buy and ship the parts to him to help out. I talked to him on the phone and let him know that some of...

Valve train noise with first DIY tune installed.

I get the pulse width error code every time I try and run up to about 85 or so mph real quick from a slow speed. Like, if I just turned on to a road and floor it until about 85 mph or so it’ll set the light on

    1994 K3500 extended cab dually

I haven’t tried fitting it in there yet. It’s in the shed sitting on the shelf. I thought about running the hose to where I can support the strainer from the hard AC line so that it doesn’t put much strain on the hose anywhere. It hasn’t really been at the top of the list because I don’t drive...

    1994 K3500 extended cab dually

This is exactly what I have been working on doing to mine since the Brassworks heater core was installed. I have a 1” SS strainer that I am about to plumb into the line. The mesh should be small enough to catch the majority of the debris I would think

    Blow by

https://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/threads/my-homemade-catch-can.46860/ I have blow-by about like yours and I used a pressure washer strainer and filled it up with Brillo pads. I don’t put many miles on the truck since I have a work truck but I try to manually drain it about every three months...

I think draining back into the valve covers would put it to high. You could possibly cut a Y into the turbo oil drain and run a line to it.

    Tune, resistors and tcc

I know it’s already been said but the only converter from a gasser that matches the 6.5 is the big block gasser converter. They have the same stall speed. The transmissions would be the same if it’s coming from a 97 or 98. On the trans cooler and lines — The problem with flushing behind a...

Calling all pro obd1 tuner experts... I found something interesting!

Like AK said. They used the 5038 IP in a couple different trucks in 94. Not just the 3500HDs. I have a 1994 6.5 C3500 C&C box truck truck with the 5038 IP on it. It’s sitting at our shop at work. Just haven’t brought it home yet.

    Tune, resistors and tcc

On a 94 and 95 it’ll look like the one in your picture. It can be taken out and tuned, or replaced with another one. 96 through 2000, and up to 2002 on some rigs don't have the removable chip. You have to tune or replace the whole PCM.

Shift lever moves with no resistance

@Stoney We are ok. Me and the wife had it at the same time, then my oldest daughter got it a week later, then 4 weeks later my youngest daughter tested positive. My son hasn't tested positive yet. I felt like sh#t for about a week. Honesty, I had the worst body aches that I have ever had. My...

Shift lever moves with no resistance

The last time I drove the truck I could tell it was harder to take out of park than it normally is. I pressed the brake pedal and it took more effort to get it into another gear than it normally does. It didn’t take a lot of muscle to move the lever at all but it was a noticeable difference. Not...

    Achievement Get: 6.5 Diesel

Welcome to the forum. Always always always add some type of lubricity to the fuel when you fill up. The fuel nowadays don’t have much lubrication in it for these IPs to last like they used to. People prefer different lubes but I use TCW-3 2 stroke oil at 1 oz per gallon. Most say they go 1/2 oz...

@dbrannon79 Im pretty sure you said that you would like to find a cheap block to rebuild. I don’t know how close you are to this guy but might be worth looking into.
