What i have:
12v from the gray/black at the dome light, feeding the dome and map lights on the bulb side(yellow).
Diodes are installed on white between each map bulb and switch to the switched ground(door switch).
Map light switches are grounded to chassis ground on purple/white
Is this correct?
Im having trouble locating the coat hooks, grab bar and visors in the color that I want. Its an '04 Silverado W/T, I believe its referred to as a Classic (It's the one with the angled headlamps). I want ones that are the same color as the A-pillars, but i don't know how to correctly determine...
Here is a diagram I was able to locate. I put the project off for a while, but getting back to it, and I still cant get all the lights to come on with the dome and work the map lights independently.

I know this is a very old thread, but Im about to install one in my 04 Silverado WT 4x4, and I was wondering if the OP would clarify how to wire the map lights so that they come on with the dome light but also operate independant of the dome light. If ive read correctly, the orange and the black...
