What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

Ich "verstehe" dir nicht. I think that's right from my years working in Germany and never becoming fluent in the language. Not trying to be a prick.

Tractor/equipment for up to 5 acres

I've got 7 acres and an MF 135 has served me well for many years. Plenty of power for plowing with a 2 bottom plow. Woods RM59 mower is big enough for a field finish mower. It's a '67 model, 42 HP Continental gas engine that I completely overhauled about 15 yrs. ago. Wet sleeve engine so...

    Passenger Side Valve Cover Removal

"The pressure inside the line is not at injecting pressure. If it was, the injector would stay open, pouring fuel into the cylinder constantly. When the pump sends the pressure pulse, it will take a millisecond for that pressure wave to reach the injector tip. If the lines are not equal length...

    Passenger Side Valve Cover Removal

Sir, do you remember the difference in lengths? How much it was?

    Passenger Side Valve Cover Removal

? I believe that's wrong. The inj. lines on my DB2 seem to all be equal length. Otherwise, it would affect inj. timing.

    Slow Progress

That looks_exactly_like the Peninsular intercooler on my '93. I figure Mishimoto was their source.

    Slow Progress

Yeah, it's looking good. Is the intercooler from Peninsular, sir?

    Heater Core Replacement

That would flat solve the problem with that actuator. The failure I've always seen with it is that you'll hear the popping noise for about 10 seconds after you shut off the truck. The other two actuators provide position feedback to the HVAC control head. They only run to their commanded...

    Heater Core Replacement

If anyone ever has to remove the dash on GMT400, I would advise to replace the recirc. door actuator while you've got it out. _Extremely_hard part to change with the dash in. I saw a post on another forum where a guy changed it with the dash in, but I'mnot that limber anymore. That's the one...

    5.7 Gas, oil cooler lines.

Thanks very much, sir. Just what I needed to know.

    A/C compressor upgrade.

Ok, now that I know the Suburban application, I'll start shopping around for the 11 CU R4. Thanks very much for the help, sir.

    5.7 Gas, oil cooler lines.

My son's truck is a 2000 K3500, 5.7 L. gas engine, 4L80E trans. We just had a new GM crate engine put in it and the guy that did the work told me it still had the stock eng. oil cooler lines retained with the metal clip at the engine. Neither of us had the time to change out the engine...

Thanks. Lots of knowledgeable folks here.

    A/C compressor upgrade.

I had one of the variable orifice valves in my truck until the previous R4 compressor sh$t the bed. Blew trash all through the system, but I flushed it out real well and put on a new condensor. Easy to see why you can't flush a condensor anymore. They all seem to be parallel flow, not...

    A/C compressor upgrade.

Y9u've paid your dues if the Dodge evaps are worse than my '93 Chevy.

    A/C compressor upgrade.

Good advice, sir, and I'll look for the SD7 compressor. Didn't know there was an R134 evaporator? Even if if would fit, I'm not replacing it. Have to disagree with you on that job. I've had my '93 for 21 yrs. now and have necessarily done a lot of work on it. Good old truck with a new paint...

    A/C compressor upgrade.

Wouldn't do it for all the money in Dollywood, bud. You're on your own on this one. I replaced the blower resistor, bad recirc. door actuator (that is impossible to replace without removing the dash), heater core and lubed all the linkages on all door actuators when I had the plenum on the...

    A/C compressor upgrade.

Thanks for the input, Will. I'll look into getting the condensor coated as that's not a bad job to do. But I ain't_ever_replacing that evaporator again. I'd rather sell the truck. The Sanden compressor will go on in a couple months when I've got the time, and maybe the condensor coating.

    A/C compressor upgrade.

"Ask for the big R4: dual air 1995 11 CU compressor...." I'm assuming the big R4 will fit in the standard R4 mounts on my '93? I did the R134 conversion a couple years ago. New R134 condensor, replaced evaporator that had a pinhole leak and reman. R4 compressor and orifice tube. I've done...
