04 F-350 250000kms
Injectors replaced 3000k ago.
Truck intermittently blows white smoke. Is this an indication of failing injectors or a egr cooler on the way out?
97 Chev K3500. Put a boost gauge on and had a reoccurring problem with overboost. It would hit 20psi if I didn't watch it.
How many engines are wrecked from this problem on engines without boost gauges? If I did not have one, there is no way I would have noticed a problem.
98 Chev K2500, 200000kms, transplanted engine from 94.
Truck has been running great. Last night it would run for a few seconds and stall.
Started it this morning no problem. Truck runs great, but now throws P0216 and P1214.
I'm assuming that the no start has something to do with the new...
Under moderate to heavy load, my K3500 boost pressure bounces around from say 10-13 psi. It just continually goes back and fourth between the two. It really is quite annoying.
What is causing this and what can I do to fix it? I've tried a different PMD to no avail.
Just took my 3500 out on it's first trip with the holiday trailer. Temp stayed mostly around 90C, but slowly worked it's way up to 106C now and again.
Is this something to be concerned about? It's still a long way from the red, but seems plenty hot to me.
Truck is a 97 Chev 3500 4x4, manual, borg warner transfer case.
Problem was somewhat intermittent, now does it all the time.
If I either turn on the blower motor or pull it into 4x4
ABS light comes on, blower motor stops, and 4x4 won't engage or disengages if it was already on.
These...
98 Chev 2500. Between about 950-1200rpm there is a slight unevenness in engine running. It does this regardless of throttle setting or engine load.
Above and below this rpm the engine runs smooth as silk. There is no smoke at all.
I've got a video uploaded on youtube...
Have a chance to buy a truck...98 Chev 2500 4x4, ext cab, long box, auto, awesome body, 190000kms, original owner.
Owner said that it worked great until coolant started going into the oil, but only if it sat for several days. Had a mechanic pull the heads. Mechanic told him that the block...
Just put a boost gauge on my 98 1500. I'm getting sustained 15psi if I really romp on it. Is this too much. I rigged a T into the IAT port on the intake manifold to plumb in the boost gauge without having to drill a hole in the intake. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.
