One way to get engine/trans braking in a pseudo-O.D. would be to use the Gear Vendor O.D. in 3rd. gear. That would likely be about half way between 3rd. and regular O.D. since the Gear Vendor is a gear splitter. If you ran larger circumferance tires that would also get you closer to stock O.D...

That is very interesting. I primed my truck in 2009 when I rebuilt the engine but can't remember how it all went. I have another cover, with gear and all, but maybe I could remove the gear and drill a hole in the cover. How else do you block the oil? Allowing it to flow through would be better!

Ui I'm not sure what you mean. The oil should circulate normally through the filter and oil cooler lines. Oil will drain out galleries and into oil pan.

To prime the oil galleries or fill filter and cooler, do you turn the oil pump clockwise looking down at the pump drive shaft? I want to prime the oil system but don't want to rotate pump in the wrong direction.
