This is the kinda truck I'm looking for after we don't need the 3rd row of the Yukon. Id pay max $1,500 if the underside and body is decently clean. I bet it wont sell for a long time, the non-original owner sounds to capitalize off of it.

It wont let me see, I tried to join but it asks a bunch of questions and requires approvals.

    My 2005 Yukon XL

Made it back from the vacation on Saturday. Clocked another 1,900 miles on the Yukon with no fuss at all. Arriving back home I am just shy of 210K and need another oil change. The catch can was about 1/2 full per each leg down/back. Looks like a half oil, half water mixture. The drivers door...

That sucks to hear especially for the price of it. The rattles are so annoying to me.

So on the Dorman unit there was no clip per say. The bottom half actually has a pressed or punched area (see little blue mark in above pic) that rides in that groove. I tried prying them apart briefly, but the tolerance was actually so tight I couldnt get anything in there. My fear was mashing...

    GMT800 Door Pins & Bushings

Good call Big T, they have a gmt800 full set for $53 plus bushings. I will purchase them when I revisit this. I even see oversize bushings too.

Ended up taking this 2-ish year old Dorman POS out. During body roll, flex, and stopping I can feel a weird binding in the column now with the very tight Wolff bearing. The slip joint in this intermediate shaft feels awful, damn near impossible to grease. Messed with it for a while, so will see...

Got them in, it is 10x better closing.

    GMT800 Door Pins & Bushings

Welp, I am NOT a fan of these e-clip style pins. I need to try a set of the thread on type. The press in action just isn't tight enough, and the install of the e-clip doesn't keep proper tension on the pin (gap between e-clip and bracket). The OEM type is basically a pressed rivet knurled over...

    My 2005 Yukon XL

When I did it I ended up flushing the valve cover vigorously with garden hose water, and then using compressed air to blow it out.

Upper hinge bushings are goners. Bottom bushings are tight but dry and binding.

    GMT800 Door Pins & Bushings

Was forced to the cheapest kit. Only had 1 kit of 2 pins in the screw on type, which makes ZERO sense...

    GMT800 Door Pins & Bushings

Just recently my drivers door has gotten sloppy. Tougher to close and getting more wind noise than ever. Looks like options are limited to SKP and Dorman across all big box stores and RA. Looks like there are 2 different types: Has anyone had experience with either? Is the thread on superior...

Got the catch can in. Not 100% on routing and the magnitude of zip ties, but this location seems the best for overall serviceability. And its in service for the time being. The Amazon o rings are still a little big, but close!

PSA, clean your MAF sensor regularly. IIRC I did this about 2 years ago, and still had gunk on it. Running Napa gold paper filters in the OEM box.

Spent more time screwing with the catch can. Got the proper 3/8s fittings on order. I also ordered some new O-Rings from UPR, but i am honestly hesitant they will be right. I found a 2-1/8" @ 1/16" Viton rings i might try.also found a bunch of 3/8 fuel line in my arsenal to plumb.

    My 2005 Yukon XL

What a mess. The OEM drain ports were all plugged up. Its not perfectly clean, but its friggin in the 30s out, so I wasnt going for perfection. I mighta gonna aggressive on the drain holes. I need to do the passenger side too just for the gaskets sake. But I ripped a bolt grommet on drivers...

    My 2005 Yukon XL

Been having a issue on cold starts. Puff of white/blue smoke. Definitely smells of oil. It all started when I did the new steering gear. My hypothesis is my PCV system has an issue, allowing oil into the intake. Thus burning it off mostly noticeable on starts. I guess its common on this truck...
