The pics are from laying on the ground looking straight up and the nuts are in the middle of the picture. This is the back side of the water pump. There is a brass colored piece of metal that is horizontal and longitudinal running directly between the two of them in the picture.

I have read from multiple articles and statements but it is not a good idea to do a blocker plate because the pressure will cause other problems and that it is better to spend the money and do the new y pipes in the back. I feel like I haven't gathered enough information yet.
