Under the hood on the driver's side next to the fire wall up high there is a rubber return line w/ a spring clip holding it on. It's real obvious and the only one there. I removed the clip and hose, then attached a piece of clear 3/8" tubing 6.5ft long onto the fitting using a small hose clamp...

I was thinking I would do the diffs and power steering with the Amsoil. Problem is, my power steering fluid is 10 years old come May 2011, and I didn't want to wait another 10K miles to flush it when I do my diffs. I went to NAPA, Advance Auto didn't have the fluid that meets GM spec :dunno...

Ed, I just changed out the xfer case oil with Transynd. I got a real good deal on the stuff, about $30 per gallon. Diffs are due in about 10,000 miles maybe then.

I agree. This is the point I'm trying to make. Don't make the current diesels bigger, make more diesels to appeal to a wider market. The more people that are driving diesels the more refining and development goes on. Fuel mileage is what's gonna bring the otherwise common commuter to the world...

That makes sense. I guess the weight of the oil in the upper engine while hot could push the oil in the filter out creating a syphon effect. I will give Baldwin Tech Service a call and see what they say....thanks...:thumbsup:

Do these different grade filters have the same part number, i.e. b1441? And how can you tell....price?
