I've always noticed that the LB7 get the best mileage out of the 4 gens.

I'm a little disappointed to hear this. They always seemed like a fairly good company but I do know that getting a hold of someone there by phone can be a chore.

Can I put the factory nav in with out the Bose system?

Where has everyone found the best prices for a unit? I was looking at the Pioneer F90BT but after doing some reading on avic411.com I got scared off of it with all the problems it has. Next I've looked at the Kenwood DNX5120. I just wish the price on it was a little less. It's about 100 bucks...

Well let me add then what I am wanting to do. 1.5" rear block, reindex keys and I'll still be running the same 285s that I have now. Lowest point on my garage door is 83". This is the stance I am going for. He's a member over on DP. I need to PM him to get his measurements.

What is the measurement from the floor to the top of the cab? I'd like to make sure I have plenty of room between the top of the garage and the cab. Thanks.

I am on my 3rd set of door speakers for my truck and the drivers side is out again. I put a new set of Alpine speakers in back in Oct/Nov and the drivers side lasted til March. I took the truck to the dealership to have the chime turned down with the Tech II but they said my radio wasn't one...

My factory passenger side mirror did as well. What I noticed is that the mirror wasn't fully glued to the black plastic backing in the upper left hand corner(closet to truck) as well as the left edge and top. I used some glue and resealed them together and it took away most of the vibrations.

Plow up with 285s on. TBars adjusted and Timbren load boosters installed.

I would but I don't have the Bose system and I think(scary I know) you have to have that but I could be way off. I've heard good things about the Pioneers as well.

I do it from up top. Seems pretty easy to me. You can buy those clips at the auto parts store pretty cheap.

Looks fun. Have you thought about finding a stock LB7 to put in for the time being and just build the other as cash allows?

Thanks. It's in pretty good shape except I noticed by the license plate on the rear bumper today it looks like some rust specs! It's good to know that the warranty on them is 80K though. I'll have to keep my eye out on it.
