Finally have the accessory drive figured out. I tried a few belt sizes to figure out the length that would work with my unique setup. What’s unique is I have 2 AD244 alternators, I have the pulleys to get the alternator RPM correct for the 1994 tach and I have the AC compressor spaced up 6mm so...
I injured my ankle so I haven’t been able to get anything done for a bit, but today I was finally able to get back out to the barn. I got the fender vent sheet metal welded into the driver side fender. I’m happy with how it turned out.
That stuff could definitely do the trick, I watched them put the windshield in the Escalade last fall. I was thinking I’d have a lot leftover with nothing to use the remainder on. The Great Stuff is a good idea…..that’s something I’d use, and it certainly is tough. And if it doesn’t work, I can...
Ok, I’ll look into it. We use VHB tape at work to permanently install the lenses to our light cartridges and it’s also really strong stuff. You have to damage the lens to remove it from the aluminum casting.
I took some time off for a trip, but got back at it today. I was thinking some more about how to make the hole and how to fasten the scoop to the fender and came up with what I think is a better idea: rather than make a trim ring that sandwiched the scoop to the fender, I decided to make a more...
Downpipe is painted and wrapped.
And now installed.
So once again, the exhaust is done, for real this time…….except for the tip, which I will do after the bed is installed.
Oh no…I haven’t used a stock air box in years. I’m going to do another airbox like I did last time for this truck, but I think it’s going to have a different filter configuration this time.

Got the passenger side heat extractor in. I did a quick coat of black paint to make it look more representative of the finished product. I’m quite pleased. It’s going to need just a thin skim coat to make the body work perfect, so that also makes me happy. Once I have the fender mods done, I am...
I appreciate the real world experience. I think I’ll be fine with what I’m envisioning. The chamber isn’t sealed, so water can drain. I will also be running an Outerwears sock on the filter that also keeps water out of the filter. I’m just trying to give fresh air an easier path to the vicinity...
Next I started working on something I’ve been excited to get going on because I think it’s going to be really cool when it’s done.
I’ve been wanting to do some kind of a heat extraction system to help get the heat out from under the hood. I didn’t want to do anything in the hood because I...
I finished up the modified mid pipe today, too. This is how much I had to jog the pipe around that brace under the cab to get clearances right, it was straight before….sheesh.
