With chrome wheels, I think either white letters out or blackwalls look good. I had the white letters out on my '06 LLY with the PYO wheels. But running the black wheels I am now running on the Cummins, it's blackwalls for sure! Having a truck both ways, I will stick with running the blackwalls out.
I have never pumped gas into my diesel trucks. Hope it stays that way too.
I do fuel up at bp since there is one near me (less then a mile away) and has plenty of diesel traffic at it to always make sure there is fresh fuel there. I never really thought of the green boot on the pump handle...
Oh, I agree. I love the look and idea of a sleeper truck or car. Sure you can have the huge blower and supercharger sticking out of your hood, 16 inch slicks on the back, and stickers up and down the side of the truck (which has to add at least 10-15hp per sticker). :hihi: That has always been...
Great job Rich! Truck looks freakin' great and sounds like its purring real nice! I have subscribed to your youtube channel a little while back as well. My account name is surveyor43. Love all the truck videos you have up.
Congrats Tim on hitting 300k and beyond! Do you plan on taking it until so many miles or just until it gives up and do a engine swap? What do you do that you are able to put on 300k miles on a 6 year old truck? Any kind of overhaul on it yet or planed?
I'm almost at 84k on mine, so I have a...
I have a 5" MBRP turbo back aluminum system on my Cummins. It's their basic system. Love the sound of it. Was pretty easy to put on as well except trying to get the v-band off where the downpipe meets the elbow coming from the turbo. I don't have any fancy tip on it either, like the plain Jane...
The 5" MBRP I had on my '06 LLY had very little drone at normal driving and not much more when WOT. I was very pleased with it. Like Nick said, from the factory, they are fairly quiet engines and exhaust. Opening up the exhaust doesn't seem to make that much of a drastic difference when it comes...
I'll make sure to keep my eyes open for when you set up a date this fall for that GTG. I too would like to make a point to come on down that way in the spring.
