okay so the 4 bolt one which is 03 duramax 6.6 will fit my clutch? is that a 20" or 21"er? either one will fit the 6.2's shroud as it is more "open" than the 6.5 shroud
Id like to do this also, the 03 duramax fan is 1580690 on rock auto. Im putting it on a 6.2 turbo, is this a direct bolt on or am I stuck until I change to a surp belt with a 2000 water pump?
I want a P-400 :hihi:
Im also going to the 6.7 vgt, head studs and 20:1 CR if interested ill let you know how it turns out. hopefully this pump will put out enough fuel!!! (6.2 stock pump)
yeah i mean it does have the same size threads and everything obviously so it has been used on something similar but the design and metal/alloys used in our blocks and the other one may be stronger or weaker
here is an oil filter I found that will work on 6.2s and id imaging 6.5s also.
Part Numbers:
Napa:1794
Purolator clasic: L40048 (Note: the purolator is about a half inch longer than the napa)
Depending on what truck you have there may be other things in the way but if you try it please...
sure will, I actually finished the waste gate already. It consists of a boost controlled waste gate with an air valve with a spring and adjusting bolt to adjust when the waste gate actuates the vanes/slider.
Ill post pics once i get a chance to take some
the valve looks like this:

Thanks warwagon! I wasn't really sure if it was necessary and if i have to pull pistons out to do it I probably wont!
I won't run the Gm 8 at 15 psi due to the drive pressure heck i already blew a HG at 14psi (without head studs and stock CR)
with the VGT comes the head studs and .010...
yeah i figured the prep would be the worst, getting all that crap basically in your engine.
what kinda boost/egts do you think the 6.2 can handle without the coating?
(I'd like to put my he551v on!)
hello all, I'm looking to coat my piston tops, heads and valves with ceramic coating.
I'm looking for some advice, has anyone done it before?
can it be done without piston removal?
I'm planning on running the HE551V on my 6.2:eek: (I will be lowering the CR to 20.45:1 and running head...
I have the 82 set up. all original bottom end, cast rockers and I just changed the heads last year :rof: (they were probably cracked from the factory)
Red block of course and the 2 filter set up, I don't mind the filter behind the intake you just have to take the housing off to change it...
when I do the rear main people have said to put loctite 515 on the main cap to help seal the oil pump plumbing. the 515 is good because it shouldn't change bearing clearances.
I can't find it anywhere.
What do you guys think? One guy told me to use high-tach or (Indian head)
