It doesn't, it's all kinda built or cast as one piece. i don't know how to explain it. The thing i didn't think was smart was running the intake air through the same piece of metal that the exhaust left. Seems to me like it would heat up iat's.

I talked to the dealer today and he said it's coming out in 2010, i thought 09 but i guess i was wrong. he gave me some info on it and a view of the engine. had wierd manifolds, kinda all one piece.... but cool none the les :D

There is a 6.5 4 dr tahoe around towh that has lights in the nostrils lol. I think they were put there for a reason..... not lights....

not to hijack the thread but everybody here says they have a 9 blad fan mod but i've already got a 9 blade in my truck. is that stock or did the po change it??

I took mine in and they gave me "large cat" price for it. i think it was $100 or something like that. i told them that there wasn't any metal in it but he didn't care :D love the 4" i got now ;)

I read about someone that had done it, i don't remember where but he succesfully installed it and he did have to give the truck a 2" lift iirc.

It still won't allow access to the fuel filter, At least on my 2000 i have to take it off, got sick of it and just left it off. I would think that it holds in heat against the ip/pmd and would get rid of it for that reason if no other....

I got some stainless grill inserts to go in the front, it doesn't completly cut off the air flow but i do know that it makes a diffrence. If i'm pulling a trailer then i do need to take them out unless i want to hear the radiator fan the entire ride. It had some clips that hold it in place on...
