Thanks Mike. May get to it tonight. I checked out the price of a new low pressure hose...$196.00. Ouch. I'm gonna use some diesel rated hose and just clamp it if possible.
My truck has a fuel leak that I haven't figured out yet. I'm going to post a vid of it. Any help is appreciated here. It must be a return line because I haven't lost prime.
I'm looking for a diagram or video of what's all on top of these tanks. Anyone have a link to help a brother out...
The Alt was a Mfg rebuilt one from the parts store. It has a warranty, but the way I see it that's not my problem. The truck charges fine, but I feel that one battery (passenger one) isn't accepting the charge.
Funny thing is a few weeks ago I had to boost a car and I used the passenger...
Thanks for the help guys. I cleaned the terminals and tonight I'll charge them up and try this test tomorrow. I'll swap the batts around also to see if the problem follows the weaker battery.
So I did a load test on both batteries and they both tested good although 1 was not as good, but still good. The Alt is less than a year old and shows its charging perfect on 1 battery but not nearly as good on the other.
Is the battery shot? Would a battery not want to accept charge? Any...
Before removing those glows, I drove the truck hard for a few miles to really heat up the engine. A short prayer, then got to it. Never had a problem. I also used anti-sieze when installing new ones. Good luck.
Thanks guys! I can't believe GM never came out with an easy fix like this. I asked our local dealer what they do and get this...they grease them up over and over for customers. Nothing like getting robbed once per year haha. They said they've don hundreds and hundreds of them. Nice job GM...
Update fella's: Still have the muffler clamp around the white bearing. I figured I'd do the shaft greasing before spending money on a green bearing.
I removed the shaft and installed a grease zerk on it. I was surprised the shaft had zero play in it, but was dry as a bone. After installing...
Thanks for the help guys. I do have the white bushing, and will probably order a green one. Seems the green ones have less of an issue from what I've been reading. The wheel feels alot better with that muffler clamp on already. Not good enough for me though.
As for the rubber bushings James...
I don't know. I've pulled with a v-nose and and a flat nose ( I own one). I've gotta say I didn't see any difference, even while on the interstate. This was when I was running my 6.5. With my d-max, it wouldn't matter haha.
OP: Good luck on your Texas trip, have fun!
