    Interesting....

I used my wife's blow drying in the intake. Fired right up after a few cranks. LOL. I need to get a plug for the block heater. If anyone has a NAPA part number for the stock block heater that would be awesome. Otherwise I need to crawl under and take pic, then run over to NAPA to find a...

    Interesting....

OK, so until now my truck has never had an issue starting in the cold. Maybe it's just too cold? I thought my fuel had gelled. Nope, I'm getting fuel to the manager (at a very healthy flow, I'll add) and I cracked an injector line. Getting fuel there. My glow plugs are all working (It...

    4x4 actuator upgrade

Cool. I'd rather spen $80 than $200 to fix my 4WD.

    4x4 actuator upgrade

I was thinking about getting that full time locker rather than the posi-lock. I really don't see a problem keeping the front diff locked all the time, either. Just wanted a second or third opinion. I've never really looked, but the rigs with the lever activated 4WD, does the lever control...

    4x4 actuator upgrade

OK, so is there any detriment to keeping the front diff locked all the time? I know that you'll get the front tires fighting themselves if you crank it while it's in 4WD, but what about if the transfer case is in 2WD?

    Ignition Switch

The older trucks do have a 'backwards' position. My 94 does. You have to push in the little level to unlock the bolt (the same one used to remove the key) to get it back there. Not sure if your rig has that or not, though.

    Gelling

Ok, dumb@$$ question here: I forgot to add my additive with the last tank of fuel I put in. And it got mighty cold here last night. Tried to start my truck this morning and she wouldn't go. I suspect that my fuel gelled. Will it degell as it gets warmer? I didn't have time to actually...

Why wouldn't you be able to high-idle a 98 'Burb?

Matt, is the hose you purchased rated for diesel fuel? Better make sure.

    6.5 fuel help please

I wouldn't recommend moving the PMD into the cab. Even with a heatsink they're gonna get mighty toast. IMO, behind the bumper is best, followed by skidplate location.

    Horn-O-Plenty

The NV4500 requires Syntorq. At least that's what it says on the side of my tranny.

New to diesels - 6.5L Suburban

Looks like I didn't read far enough. LOL Not having a soot trap or a muffler will help with your EGT's and your mileage. A very worthwhile upgrade, IMO.

New to diesels - 6.5L Suburban

It all depends on what the laws in your state/county are. They vary at the very least by state, in some instances by county.

    Circulating heaters

Thanks, 94K30. Would you do me a favor and take a sh*tload of pics of this? I'd like to set my rig up like this, but am more of a visual guy. lol.

Don't go to napa. If you are going to replace it, you want to get Heath Diesels PMD relocation kit. www.heathdiesel.com

Fuel Gauge detailed results, pump or clog?

It doesn't take much pressure to clear the sock. just a few pounds. Anything more can blow the sock off and that's just not good.
