I just remembered this thread and my dad had a good idea for getting rest. Just bring a tent and set it up right next to your truck. Log it as 10 hours straight off duty. When you get pulled over, show the officer the tent. You would be sleeping away from the vehicle which makes it legal. :rof:
I get 11-12 towing my 16 ft enclosed trailer empty or loaded at 70-75 mph. It has a lot of drag and I'm building a v nose to cut down on that. I hope to get 12-14 after that empty. I ran into a strong wind coming back from Illinois the other way at 65 and was getting barely 10.
Well got the cd player up and running. I need to find an amp now to power everything. I keep finding myself hitting the steering wheel controll to turn the volume up and nothing there. :o I got my door speakers and thought my tweeters from partsexpress saturday, but the tweeter box was...
I hate my chimes. I think I will go with a Sony they have on sale at Crutchfield. 159 with three set of preamps, usb and aux inputs on front. I like the idea of loading several hundred songs on a thumb drive and not having to change anything for hours. I need to find a 4 channel amp and i've...
Does anyone know if you can simply tap into power, ground and ignition without having to buy a harness? I am going to replace the Bose head unit and run speaker wire from an amp to the doors and bypass all Bose stuff with new speakers and everything.
You are my hero madmaxx, lol. I thought replacing the taillights on my trailer with LED's was cool, but this is awesome. It'd amazing how much brighter the LEDs are. If someone can't see these bad boys they are blind.
How dark is your tint? I'm wanting to go 35 on the front windows and 20% over factory tint in the back. I was even thinking about 50% on the windshield.
Mad Maxx, I think I'm going to order one those lights. What I'm going to do is make a mount that attaches easily from the Rhino's roll bar, my gun (.270 Remington for hog hunting) and the JD 955 for use at night Bushhogging. I am going to use an 18 volt battery from a cordless drill as power...
You talking to me? I edited to include enclosed trailer. ):h Hmm, I wonder if I could build a enclosed part to a flatbed and have just the trailer I need.
I am about to go from a bumper pull enclosed 16 ft 10k trailer to a 28ft (including gooseneck)enclosed 14k gooseneck. With the bumper pull you can feel every little bump in the road and I-20 in Miss and La nearly killed me loaded with 7k of carpet this week. I like not having to worry as much...
I just bought an enclosed trailer and want to replace all the lights with leds. Where is a good source for fairly cheap lights? There are less than 20 lights total, red and amber.
I've got a 3 watt led flashlight and it will light up the night, so I just thought a light with multiple 5 watt leds might be enough. 20 mph, hmm, can you say lights for the John Deere 955. :smile5: I really like leds. These may also work as backup lights on my truck.
I am thinking about getting a pair of these bad boys to use as light on my dad's Rhino and if they are bright enough, as fogs in my wife's Tahoe. http://www.hidxenonlights.com/universal-fog-lights-c-671/5w-ultra-led-fog-lights-p-535
