Ya I know I've had my head stuck up my ass to long.
It will still be part diesel because according to Comp Cams with a Nit-rited cam and flat tappets I need to run diesel oil which is high in zinc. :D
They suggested Shell Rotella 15w 40 but I'm going to get back with them and the motor...
Well it's been awhile on anything here. The economy and money, lack there of,has slowed progress but some how some way I MUST purge on. I got the motor back,or should I say I picked it up finally. So I've been tinkering and buttoning up a few things.
I also have decided to go 4 speed ,like I...
Not sure but one might be only hot when keyed up. Bottom line all you have to do is check all your fuses or at least pull the fuse block covers and identify which might cover the aux 12 volt plugs.
What Steve is saying is the OBD port is powered up by the same circuit the cigarette lighters...
When you say the cable moves freely do you mean you disonected it from NSBU and the shift lever was free?
In addition I would find a Allison dealer http://www.allisontransmission.com/locator/mappoint/index.jsp?country=US and get a New NSBU .
Although most likely your gonna find it's...
Even IF the freight company denied the claim do to POOR packaging on the shippers behalf it could and CAN make a difference in the final outcome. I know it's BS about doing it in front of the carrier, who does that anyway like a UPS driver is gonna stand on your porch while you inspect?
That is...
And THIS IS WHY I suggested a freight claim!
If you receive a damaged package, please keep all packaging. UPS or the freight company will want to inspect it when filing a claim. Call us for instructions on how to file a claim. Please inspect your package immediately upon receipt in the...
We reserve the right to charge a 20% restocking fee for all NEW condition parts items that are returned except transmissions and torque converters. This means we will not accept returns on items you have installed already and decided you didn’t like it or it didn’t fix your problem. Parts must...
The link is a good idea but I would have forwarded the pictures via e-mail also. There is NO guarantee they will actually sign up to log in to view this thread.
I've never heard of a Mass air flow sensor going bad unless you broke or touched the components. In addition it would throw a code.
You can get sensor cheap at Rockauto.com. I would clean yours first before replacing. I'm also surprised you get smoke just unplugging it also.
I would check...
You never will so I'll tell you. :smile5:
Although my project is in a stall certain items are or have been in play that cannot be stopped. That being my motor build
With money invested and speed shop time and parts involved I knew it was gonna come at a difficult time but freak it,it's...
Did they make acknowledgement to that it was damaged in transit? If so then they should or you should have put in a claim to the carrier. I would assume this is what they will or have done. Therefore they should be credited for the freight charges.
Did they supply a return tag or shipping...
The 1000 HP claim is ridiculous. You should not be sold on sale tactics. The deep pan isn't something you need and could have been added anytime later if you desired.
The core charge is ONLY for the TC and you'll get that back when you return the stock TC. You'll never return to the stock one...
Although I love my dealer their filter prices are through the roof. Go here and find a dealer in your area for the best price on the Red filter which is ALL I will use.

Jay to be completely honest with you I personally don't like the condition of the parts you received. The C5 clutch is no big deal with the exception that if debris gets loose and lodges somewhere your up shits creek with out a paddle.
This holds true to the rest of the clutches the BIGGEST...
