just dont use fram, its the only filter media i have seen fall apart. the supertech filter and even the oil hold up pretty well. given amsoil is the best hands down for oil or filters. I was really surprised with the quality of the supertech over fram.

thanks guys. drove it again today and could not reproduce the symptoms. pretty wierd. only thing I have done is reinstalled my bullydog outlook monitor the day before this happened.

I used supertech filters and hd30 oil in my nissan. used fram once and the oil got very black within 1000miles unlike the supertech. I have cut all of the filters I have used open to find fram seems to "fall apart" allowing a lot of debris right through. supertech held up well but is a small...

this morning on the way to work my driver seat heater was going crazy. It was going from high, medium, low, off by itself at random times no matter what I did to the buttons. On the way home it did not do it, worked just fine when I turned it on too. Any idea what would cause this?

Not bad at all for running at that speed. I really think the new 6spd auto would make up for any loss of mileage compared to the 5.9. I just wish they would make a long bed factory on the mega cabs. my next truck has to be a long bed.... little bed is almost useless.....

awesome. My neighbor has a 06 mega with the 5.9. Says the dealer complains about problems with the 6.7 but I have yet to see any on here really other than lower mileage than the 5.9. Then again he may just be blowing smoke if he is jealous of the new motor

if its for your duramax then use 5w30 motor oil. recommended by the manufacturer. if its the 6.5 I have no freakin idea!
